rain again

another day of dreary rain. it makes me restless not being able to be outside. it also seems to be wards around Cousin Whinesteria's cabin. (sigh) I am glad the extra curly hair charm has stuck to her. It does make me smile to see the nest of Cow birds growing up so nicely.

I think I will make up a tincture of BellaDonna for Mom's headaches and menses. Since the rain has not stopped and I truly do not feel like knitting any more for today.

i spy

i spy: a very happy face
i spy: a bird head
i spy: almonds
i guess Cousin Whinesteria did ger her wish and i was lost in some strange forest.
none of the animals were able to communicate with me and this strange forest did not provide any food for me.
eventually, i found a stream and stayed there until my parents found me.

we all agreed the muggle camping will not be part of our summer fun next year.

i spy: a game that i need to check out in our cabin.

?? Cunctator??

it appears there has been a nasty one casted upon me and i have not been able to achieve any of my goals that i want to this week.
i have heard several girls whisper, "cunctator" as I pass by them.

so while I have not been able to do squat in the knitting and homework department, i have made a two layer cake with bumble berry jam and fresh cut strawberries in the middle layer. with butter cream frosting.

and soooo

another week of camp has come and gone.
spent the other day swimming with the boys from across the lake. they are silly creatures to say the least. they were squealy about the fish nipping at their dangley bits...whatever.....

i am guessing the Mermaids were not impressed because none of them went missing.

i am learning how to hand sew. what a pain. i do prefer the magical way less fiddly.
i also learned how to make bread. that was fun.

i have a great collection of botanical items that i am taking back home with me. the oak trees are dropping acorns all ready, so i am going to see if i can grow them into a tree of my own. it might take me a while but i am hoping it will grow nice and strong.

INDEED

It seems that I am to blame for some strange decorations around Whinesteria's cabin. As things turns out I am. HA!!

What that silly git does not know is they are charmed and anyone who touches them besides me will have their hair turn into their cabin colours and as I have read, most of the Ashwinders have touched the decorations.
see ain't it purdy?! they have a nice cabin...

i would like to thank the city workers that left the cones sitting in front of my place of living for two months.

Since everyone has gone somewhere and I can not find them nor have I spent much time looking for them either, so I can not complain...

I am doing the scavenger hunt that was posted on the to-do wall in our Cabin. This is the most unusual knitted item that I could find. A chapstick cover. I wonder if I could get someone to knit one for me.

Then there are the eggs.

i amuse myself

I saw Cousin Whinesteria and the recycled DADA strolling along the wood path. I followed them for a while and then I became bored with the little action between to two so I found a cave nearby and rousted the bats.

It was funny seeing those two go running for cover

part 2 of 2

"When in doubt, go to the library!" --

Ron Weasley

Wednesday, July 1, 2009

#2---

In the second volume of the HP books by JK Rowling, The (#1)Chamber of Secrets, we continue to learn the incredible adventures of Hogwarts student (#2)Harry Potter and his friends (#3)Ron Weasley and (#4)Hermione Granger. Belonging to the house of (#5)Gryffindor, they attend Defense Against the (#6)Dark Arts taught by Wizarding celebrity (#7)Gildroy Lockhart, a none-too-bright fellow who cannot even handle pixies!

In The (#8)Chamber of Secrets, we also meet Dobby a (#9)House Elf for the first time. Determined Dobby seeks to sabotage the return of (#10)Harry Potter to Hogwarts and is pretty persistent but is unsuccessful. After a few weeks at school, the deceased Ravenclaw student who haunts the girls lavatory, also known as (#11)Moaning Myrtle, shows (#12)Harry Potter and (#13)Ron Weasley an old empty diary that dropped through her ghostly form out of thin air!

Many nifty things continue to happen for the next several months… we won’t go into all the juicy details right now… however, the ending is prime reading indeed!! (#14) Harry Potter finally kills Tom Riddle’s (a.k.a #15 Voldemort) sneaky diary (which we now know is a #16 Horcrux) and saves the sister of (#17) Ron Weasley, (#18) Ginny Weasley!!!

Oh! Of course, we must mention that the thickheaded (#19)Gilderoy Lockhart unintentionally erased his own memory, so he won’t be back for book three, The (#20) Prisoner of Azkaban

3 truths and 1 lie...good luck

while out walking yesterday around the camp grounds i found a treasure!!!!!!

this place is perfect for a herbology geek!!

3 truths and 1 lie.

1) i only drive manual transmission
2) i do not have a passport
3) i have 4 kids
4) i have tattoos

i am so glad that Whinesteria has gone off grounds these last few days, it is nice not having to look over ones shoulder all of the time. the recycled DADA Proff is gone as well. I find it rather creepy that he is back for more of her antics, but as they say love is blind. He must be deaf as well.

hot

the weather here has been too hot for normal outside activities, so i have taken the time to use the internet and put more up on my wish list. i really do not want to have one because it, i feel takes away the creativity from making a kit just based on what they read from posts and blogs....

today i also made some stuff for my spoilee Celestina and for RAOK.

i suppose i should get up and start the day now the heat is going for the day. i kind of like being up most of the night and sleeping the heat away.

another present

as you might have guessed, i like herbology and potions.
today while trying to hide from Whinesteria and the recycled DADA I came across a fruit tree.

they are not too sweet and they are NOT poisonous. i have eaten more than my share of them and I feel a bit guilty for not sharing them .

so i went in search of a bowl to gather more for my cabin mates. i hope they enjoy them.

what a pain

my Cousin Wisteria is trying to get me into trouble again. She is saying that I messed up a skein of yarn of hers. Why would I do that? It is yarn abuse.

She is just plain mean. I am not sure why my parents sent me here. Did they know Whinesteria was going to be here?

Sunday afternoon while walking in the woods I found half of a set of deer antlers. Three large prongs and a small one. It is very nice. I like it when the woods gives me gifts.

candy

Today while waiting for the rain to pass, I made some sweets called Turtles, they are a muggle candy.

I was in the woods yesterday when I found a squirrel's next that had walnuts still in the shell, it appeared not to have been lived in quite a while, so I did not feel bad taking them. I went to go and harass visit Cousin Wisteria but she was not around so I took borrowed some chocolate frog that I found. (I put the frogs in her bed. They are expensive)
There were some caramels in the community candy dish, thank you whom ever brought them. (I have never seen so much candy except in a store but this place has it coming out of every crack and corner.)

Making these googey bundles of joy is more work than any painstaking potion I have ever made. They taste so good, I hope my fellow Pixies enjoy them.

sunny sky

the rain is gone finally but the humidity has set in and poor Cousin Wisteria's hair is reacting rather peculiar.

grandmother would be happy to know you are wearing her camping robes.
